About Bike Racing
Bike Racing starts you at the back of a four-lane grid with the field strung out ahead. The throttle looks after itself. What you control is the line โ and on two wheels that line changes much faster than it would in a car: a lane change takes 110 milliseconds against a car's 180, and the brakes are half again as strong.
That agility is paid for on contact. Clip a barrier or the back of a rival and you keep barely thirty per cent of your speed, against a car's forty-five, and you wobble for the best part of a second. The bike will thread a gap nothing else can, and it will punish you harder than anything else for getting the gap wrong.
Fuel is the other half of the race. The tank burns down as you ride and a full one will not see you to the line, so the red cans on the tarmac are part of your route rather than a bonus. Green bottles give an instant burst past your top speed and drink fuel more than twice as fast while they last. You can play free in your browser, on touch or keyboard, across eight levels from 1,300 to 3,300 metres.
Controls
There is no throttle and there are no item buttons. The bike is always accelerating, and fuel and nitro are collected by riding over them, so you are left with two inputs.
Both work on touch and on a keyboard:
- Changing lane drag across the track, or tap its left or right half. On a keyboard, โ โ or A D. The slide is the quickest in the category and can't be cancelled once it starts.
- Brake hold the Brake button, or โ / S. A bike stops harder than a car, which is often a better answer than trying to squeeze through.
- Red fuel can ride over it to top the tank up. The gauge is top-left and turns amber, then red, before you run dry.
- Green nitro bottle ride over it for a burst well past your top speed. It burns fuel over twice as fast while it lasts.
- Pause the Pause button, or Esc / P. The race also pauses if you switch tabs.
Contact never ends the race โ you keep a fraction of your speed and carry on. Only your finishing position decides the level.
An empty tank drops you to thirty per cent of top speed rather than stopping you. Once per race you can watch a short ad for a full tank.
Finish 1st and the next level unlocks. Across the eight, rivals climb from 74% of your top speed to 97%.
Tips
- Use the agility, not the speed The bike's advantage is the lane change, not the top end. Where a car has to commit early and hope, you can wait, see which gap actually opens, and take it late.
- Brake before you gamble A spin-out costs you seventy per cent of your speed here. Braking costs a fraction of that. When both gaps look marginal, slow down and take the one that opens rather than the one you hoped for.
- Don't boost into traffic Nitro burns fuel at more than twice the rate and does nothing about the van in front. Spend it where you can already see clear road and a rival to take.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Car Racing?
The bike changes lane in about a third of the time and brakes far harder, but keeps only 30% of its speed after contact instead of 45%, and wobbles for longer. It's the agile, fragile end of the category.
Do I control the throttle?
No. The bike accelerates to its top speed by itself. You steer and you brake โ on a phone your thumb is already busy changing lanes.
How do I get nitro?
You ride over it. Green bottles sit on the road and fire the moment you touch one. Red cans work the same way for fuel. There are no item buttons.
What happens if I run out of fuel?
You limp at about a third of your top speed until the next can. You don't stop, and the race still finishes. Once per race you can watch a short ad for a full tank instead.
Can I play Bike Racing on my phone?
Yes. Drag or tap either half of the track to change lane, with on-screen Brake and Pause buttons. It works in any modern mobile browser with no download.
