About Endless Runner
Endless Runner gives you one job: read the lane ahead and pick the right answer in time. You run without being asked to, and you keep gaining speed the whole way, so the hazards arrive progressively faster while your thinking time shrinks.
There are three kinds of obstacle and each has exactly one correct response. A low hurdle is jumped. A high gantry is ducked under. A solid block can be neither jumped nor slid โ the only way past is a different lane. Choosing the wrong one is the same as not choosing, because a single hit ends the run outright.
The tracks are generated, but never unfairly: a row can never block every lane, so there is always a way through if you spot it. Across eight levels the goal grows from 700 to 2,200 metres, the hazards thicken, and the top speed climbs from 20 to 34 metres per second. It is the middle of the family in every dimension, and the only one with an even spread of all three hazard types โ the others each lean toward the obstacle their body handles best. Play free in your browser on touch or keyboard, no download.
Controls
You never control the pace โ the run accelerates on its own. Everything you do is about the next few metres of your own lane.
On a phone it's a swipe pad; on a laptop it's the arrow keys:
- Change lane swipe left or right, or press โ โ / A D. Three lanes, and the lane change can't be cancelled once it starts.
- Jump swipe up, tap the track, or press โ / W / Space. Clears the low hurdles. You cannot jump twice in the air.
- Slide swipe down, or press โ / S. Ducks under the high gantries. You cannot slide out of a jump or jump out of a slide.
- Pause the Pause button, or Esc / P. The run also pauses if you switch tabs.
A solid block is immune to both the jump and the slide. If it's in your lane, the lane is the problem.
One hit ends the run. There are no lives and no second chances within a run โ reaching the goal is the only way to clear the level.
Generation never fills every lane of a row, so no hazard pattern is impossible; it can only be too fast to read.
Tips
- Identify the shape, not the colour A low hurdle sits at knee height, a gantry hangs overhead on two posts, and a block is a solid slab with a white stripe. Learn the three silhouettes and you'll answer them at distance instead of guessing up close.
- A lane change beats a jump when you're unsure Jumping the wrong obstacle ends the run. Moving into a lane you can see is empty never does. When you can't read it in time, go around.
- You get faster; plan for that The top speed nearly doubles across the ladder. The pattern you comfortably read at level 1 arrives with half the warning at level 8, so start looking further up the track early.
Frequently asked questions
Can I jump over everything?
No, and that's the core of it. Jumping clears low hurdles only. High gantries have to be slid under, and solid blocks can't be jumped or slid at all โ you have to change lane.
How many lives do I get?
One. A single hit ends the run and you restart the level. Reaching the distance goal is the only way to clear it.
Is the track ever impossible?
No. Generation never blocks every lane in a row, so there's always a route through. It can get too fast to read, but never unsolvable.
Can I double-jump?
No. You can't jump again while airborne, and you can't switch between a jump and a slide midway โ commit to the right one.
Can I play Endless Runner on my phone?
Yes, and it's designed for it: swipe left/right to change lane, up to jump, down to slide, or just tap to jump. Any modern mobile browser, no download.
