About Skateboard Racing
Skateboard Racing is the fast end of the dodge family. A board keeps momentum in a way legs do not, and the game reflects that throughout: the longest courses at 900 to 3,000 metres, the highest speeds at 26 to 42 metres per second, and four lanes instead of three. It is also the sparsest course in the family, because at these speeds thick traffic would be unreadable rather than difficult.
The compensation is airtime. The ollie lasts 760 milliseconds, the longest jump of any runner here, which gives you a genuinely generous window over a low rail. The crouch is middling. The lane change is slower than Parkour's but quicker than a horse's. It is a body that rewards commitment at speed rather than fidgeting.
The mix leans toward low rails, which is what the longest ollie in the family is built for โ but at this pace the reading has to happen much further up the track. Play free in your browser on touch or keyboard, across eight levels.
Controls
The board accelerates hardest of the four runners and never stops. You choose the answer to the next shape, and you choose it early.
Swipe pad on a phone, arrow keys on a laptop:
- Change lane swipe left or right, or press โ โ / A D. Slower than Parkour's, quicker than Animal Racing's, and uncancellable once started.
- Ollie swipe up, tap the track, or press โ / W / Space. Clears the low rails, with the longest airtime in the category โ the most forgiving jump timing here.
- Crouch swipe down, or press โ / S. Ducks under the overhead beams.
- Pause the Pause button, or Esc / P. The run also pauses if you switch tabs.
Solid blocks can't be ollied or ducked. The lane is the only answer.
One hit ends the run. No lives, no checkpoints.
You can't ollie twice in the air or switch from an ollie to a crouch midway.
Tips
- Read a lane further ahead than feels necessary The acceleration here is the steepest of the four runners, so the comfortable reading distance from the other games leaves you short. Look up the track, not at your feet.
- Trust the ollie It's the longest airtime in the category. Where the Parkour vault punishes an early jump, the ollie will usually carry you โ if you're unsure between jump and lane change on a rail, the jump is more forgiving here than anywhere else.
- Blocks come up fast A solid block needs a lane change, and lane changes take time you have less of at these speeds. The moment you identify a block, move โ don't wait to see whether there's a better gap.
Frequently asked questions
What makes the skateboard different from just running?
It has the steepest acceleration and the highest top speed of the four dodge games, plus the longest jump. You go faster and you hang in the air longer.
Can I ollie over everything?
No. The ollie clears low rails only. Overhead beams have to be ducked, and solid blocks answer to neither โ you change lane.
How many lives do I get?
One. A single hit ends the run and you restart the level.
Why do I keep hitting things I saw coming?
Almost always the acceleration. At these speeds a lane change started when the obstacle 'looks close' finishes too late โ commit earlier than in the other runners.
Can I play Skateboard Racing on my phone?
Yes. Swipe left/right to change lane, up to ollie, down to crouch, or tap to ollie. Any modern mobile browser, no download.
